The Executive MBA HEC Lausanne starts in September and lasts 16 months. Classes take place on Fridays and Saturdays every second week, with the exception of three block weeks of five consecutive days each.
The core of the program aims to enhance participants' understanding of business analytics, strategic management, and leadership. Your choice of a focus area in healthcare management or corporate finance and management complements the program’s core.
The Executive MBA HEC Lausanne offers two tracks:
- Executive MBA – Focus in Corporate Finance & Management
- Executive MBA – Focus in Healthcare Management
Two capstone projects highlight the program. As part of the strategy consulting project, students apply all the tools and knowledge that they gain during the program. With support from experts and coaches, students act as external consultants on particular business problems that relate to their professional careers.
For the entrepreneurship group project, students apply their entrepreneurial skills and expertise. They develop an idea, create a business plan, and assess its viability, defending the project in front of peers and professors.
Students also complete a week’s residential course abroad. Traditional lectures are combined with company visits, analysis of case incidents, group work, simulations, and role-playing techniques.
Besides required courses such as leadership, and negotiation and decision-making, the Executive MBA HEC Lausanne offers ongoing personal development modules throughout the program.
Students will apply the latest leadership principles and use proven negotiation techniques in their daily work. External coaches will help them develop greater self-awareness and confidence. Students also will enhance their soft skills through individual and group coaching.
In addition, the program supports the leadership development of students by encouraging them to undertake and organize events such as conferences and workshops. This process helps them hone their managerial skills and at the same time, they share their knowledge and expertise with their peers.
